I’m a 40-something bloke; a Brit. I’ve lived all over the world and had many lives, and many extraordinary, as well as perfectly ordinary, experiences. I’m a psychotherapist/psychologist and have had several other careers includng being a diplomat, soldier, racing car driver, and strategy consultant. I’m a father and, at the time of writing these words, am about to become a father again (due date is 13 May 2012) – which has prompted me to start this blog. I’m not sure what I’m going to write about but I know that our new arrival is pre-occupying me considerably, as are thoughts of escape! I suspect I will mostly write about being an expectant dad and then about what it’s like for me to be a dad, husband and man who has to keep going to work with a new baby in the house.
I’m happy to receive comments and look forward to making some rewarding connections. My opinions are of course my own and while I take responsibility for them, I hope you will appreciate that I want this blog to be a space where I can fantasise and play with narratives and ideas. I’m a fallible person, with many flaws, imperfections, and blindspots. Thanks!
